Learn Basic Robot Programming Virtually
Robotics may not be the most budget friendly hobby to have but through virtual reality, you can deep dive into a new interest without breaking your bank. ‘MegaTrex Online’ is where you get to have a virtual hands-on learning experience with basic robotics and robot programming through ‘VEXcode VR’ – a free programming software that allows you to learn robotics without a robot and to complete fun activities on different ‘Playgrounds’.
Helping you build your virtual robot is Hilmi Rashid, STEM facilitator at Seria Energy Lab (SEL) and the project manager for SEL’s Innovation Hub Program. Within 2 sessions, Hilmi will be introducing you to how VEXcode VR works and how to program basic commands to your VEX robot. Learners will also be given challenges via virtual ‘Playgrounds’ such as using their VEX robots to clean the coral reef. ‘MegaTrex’ does not require prior knowledge in robotics and by the end of the class, you will be able to code independently.
