Insights from Linkedin – According to the latest Future of Recruiting Report, 81% of talent professionals agree virtual recruiting will continue post-COVID and 70% say it will become the new standard. Those are big numbers that can’t (and shouldn’t) be ignored. As we are adapting to digital transformation, there are more job applications that require one to complete PDF form, submitting CVs online, attend a virtual interview session to building professional presence on Linkedin.
This 1 -day session is to prepare you through hands-on workshop on the following:
- Review and update CV
- Equip with essential digitization skills to adapt with softcopy submission, virtual interview and setting up professional digital presence.
- Be well prepared for the virtual interview session and answering to frequently asked questions.
Itinerary:
8.30 am – 9.30am (1hr)
CV clinic
With the goal of creating a CV that’s interesting to read and that can leverage one’s own strength and expertise. Students have the opportunity to make improvements on their CV directly during this session through peer and instructor reviews.
9.45 am – 11.45 am (3hrs)
Essential digitalization skill
The instructor will lead the walk-through for using
1. PDF editor – at many times we are required to email our application form, cv and relevant documents. Say no more to print out, fill in details to scan it back. There is more efficient way to do this!
2. Zoom – most commonly used online video conferencing tool, instructor will show you the tips and tricks to make yourself look more professional over Zoom. There’re role plays to prepare you for the afternoon simulation.

1 to 1 Virtual interview simulation
Get a real taste of virtual interview! In the afternoon, one interviewer will be assigned to you for virtual interview simulation.
Practice on first impressions: Body language, attire, verbal and non-verbal communication and better anticipate, prepare what interviewers might ask of you. Students will receive group and individual feedback after the workshop.
