Learn the System that Can Make You a Top Scoring Student
As an educator himself, Abdul Malik Omar noticed a repeating issue from students who are not performing as well as they can: lack of motivation and lack of study skills. To offer some solution to this problem, Abdul Malik Omar wrote a book titled ‘The Art of Learning’ in which he outlined how a former student like him, who averaged in C minus, became a high-school valedictorian.
Taking a cue from his book, Abdul Malik will be instructing students to prepare for their big exams (PSR, SPE, O’Level, A’Level, Graduates) through three crucial areas:
Set Proper Goals – Create a clear and definite aim in whatever it is that you are doing.
Set a Good Study Environment – Build a proper ecosystem where you can function properly, be extremely focused and be in your zone.
Set a Time Management System – Use a system that will balance your studying time and leisure time and overcome procrastination.
Abdul Malik emphasized that these three areas are not exclusively for studying but can be applied to other areas of your life and might even change it.
All students have potential, even if they do not know it and this class might unlock that potential. Expounding on this idea, Abdul Malik made this optimistic remark: “Students are not average, students are special in their own ways – provided they are given the right motivations and right skill sets.”
